Job Description

Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) $31/hr

Position Requirements

  • Must have a valid 433a Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate of qualifications
  • Must be a member of the Ontario College of Trades.
  • Must have a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship.
  • Six or more months of related experience and/or training is an asset.

About the Role

  • Electrical – Must know 3-phase theory and wiring techniques including troubleshooting, component replacement, and motor wiring. Must know general wiring techniques for 110V system. Must know how to use a multi-meter for safe work practices and troubleshooting.
  • Control Wiring – Must have a general knowledge of control wiring and electric schematics.
  • Pneumatic systems – Must have experience with general pneumatic systems, including air compressor operation and maintenance and general system troubleshooting.
  • Hydraulics – Must know how to maintain a hydraulic system and complete general troubleshooting and adjustments.
  • Hand Tools– Must be familiar with the use of all power tools including drills, chop saws, reciprocating saw, grinder, and pneumatic hammers.
  • Welding – Must be able to use acetylene torches, Arc and MIG welders.
  • Pipe Fitting – Must be able to complete maintenance and installation of all piping types (PVC, Steel, Stainless)
  • Capable of performing all maintenance functions, including but not limited to preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on all equipment throughout the plant.
    • Identify equipment malfunctions, generate work orders, and determine proper repair procedures.
    • Document results through completed work orders based on schedule and priority or as required.
    • Support all policies and procedures as established within the Stericycle’s policies and procedures manual.
    • Perform any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy and efficient facility.

    Rotating Schedule
    Week 1: 7pm-7am – Mon, Thurs, Fri – 36 hours
    Week 2: 7pm-7am – Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun- 48 hours
