Overview

The End User Computing Analyst is responsible to providing primary and secondary support for the Business Unit technical requirements for stores, offices and RSCs. In addition, they will also provide 2nd level support to end users relating to the use of various types of hardware and software programs, efficiently and effectively, in fulfilling business objectives.

At all times, they must promote the image and the service of the I.T. Business Unit Team through a timely and consistently high-quality approach to problem determination and resolution.

Job Description

Store, RSC and Office Support

  • Provide second-level support for retail store, RSC and Office systems in accordance with customer services standards and established service level agreements by responding quickly and effectively.
  • Identify past problem history and historical trends in order to improve future performance and make recommendations for technical improvement.
  • Conduct investigations relating to Business Unit issues (e.g. hardware problems, performance issues, back-up issues, integration issues etc.).
  • Escalate software and hardware bugs / issues to senior team member or Manager End User Computing
  • Stage new hardware, as necessary
  • Provide basic In-Store network configuration and support
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for Support teams (e.g. stage and install ISP, CAO). Provide 2nd level support for retail store systems in accordance with customer services standards by responding to and resolving remedy tickets and bugs; and, reassigning or escalating to senior team members as necessary.

Support Store Opening, Closing, Reno IT Processes and Banner and Store Changes

  • Support store projects (i.e. new stores and store renovations) through the completion of tasks including equipment preparation
  • Procure, stage and arrange transportation of IT hardware to store
  • Modify system parameters as needed
  • Arrange new store set up on various servers (e.g. complete change request).
  • Provide opening day support (e.g. on site as required, respond to problems; monitor systems for problems)

Software Packaging and Distribution to Production

  • Customize software distribution to Business Unit requirements, as provided by senior team member
  • Ensure Software distribution to production and test software distribution load (confirm updates have loaded)
  • Provide input on impact of technical changes on store systems (release notes as required)
  • Create basic software packages. Document all processes associated with software packaging

Manage Web CID Deployment

  • Maintain store’s screen resolution list
  • Test new web CID’s in lab
  • Coordinate web CID deployment
  • Complete Business Unit configuration to support business initiative

    Project Involvement

  • Contribute and Participate as a project team member
  • Attend project meetings and participate in solutions and testing
  • Provide status updates
  • Assist in deploying new technology

    General Administration

  • Complete various administrative duties as required, including the completion of time sheets, expense forms, change control requests, and asset tracking
  • Report statistics and status updates to management and customers.
  • Participate in Team Meetings

Job Requirements

  • One to three years relevant experience in technical support of retail store systems

  • Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques

  • Broad knowledge of programming languages and techniques

  • Able to develop and interpret technical documentation
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems or pursuance of, and/or equivalent work experience
