Job DescriptionOverview Summit Food Service, a Division of Colabor, is Canadas largest Canadian-owned broad line distributor to the foodservice industry. We are currently searching for a dynamic and self-motivated Inventory Control Personnel . Hours will be Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday: 5am- 1:30pm Responsibilities Monitor, record and check off returned products brought back every day by drivers. Compare information on drivers return logs with information on invoices/ pick up slips to ensure accuracy. Using the proper reason code, scan products to correct pallet for put away depending on environment where product belongs. Determine if product is resalable, waste, or to donate or ship to allied reclamation Cycle count products as required Record picking errors Record damages on spreadsheet Help locate missing products Monitors date sensitive items Monitor produce quality Communicate daily with supervisors re picking errors, missing product etc. Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the Inventory Control Coordinator or Shift Supervisor Adhere to Health & Safety standards This duties of this position are subject to change as our technology advances Requirements High school diploma, general education diploma in purchasing or equivalent 1 year in a comparable position Data entry skills and good mathematical aptitude Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Keen commitment to providing superior customer service Enthusiastic and team oriented Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Willingness to take initiative and be a positive team player Ability to work in extreme temperatures (freezer, cooler, dry areas) Ability to lift a maximum of 80 lbs as required Able to operate electric pallet truck and Man-up Benefits Benefit and Pension eligible.
