The successful Payroll Administrator will have:

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation, recognized by the Canadian Payroll Association or equivalent,
  • A proven track record of being accountable for multiple deliverables, reporting and high- quality performance,
  • Outstanding organizational skills and efficiency,
  • Excellent oral and written communication,
  • An ability to identity problems and use logic, judgement and data to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions;
  • Minimum one year experience required.

The role will require:

Completing bi-weekly payroll cycle processing, Managing up to date pay rate information, Participating in year end activities and balancing (T4, T4A, T2200, other related documents),  Processing payroll in a unionized environment, Proficiently using excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.), Manage remission of statutory deductions, WSIB, EHT, WCB, union dues, garnishments and pension plans;

  • Other duties as assigned.
