IT SAP HCM Functional Specialst

Job Summary

Provide professional, technical and functional expertise and solutions in areas of technology, processes and operating procedures for SAP Human Capital Management (HCM). Responsible for the integrity of electronic data, systems, processes and policies. Act as a subject matter expert.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Project Manager, SAP HCM / Payroll Business Support, the successful candidate will:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into SAP solutions
• Design, develop, test and implement SAP HCM solutions using best practices and standards for SAP
• Complete configuration tasks for SAP HCM modules to meet business requirements
• Provide ongoing support including analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving production issues
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimizations within SAP HCM domain
• Maintain the operational integrity of the SAP HCM Solutions including SuccessFactors, Fiori and ESS-MSS including compliance with local regulations and company policies
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, process flows, specifications for developers and test plans
• Develop and execute unit / integration tests to confirm functionality and support business stakeholders during the user acceptance testing process
• Validate the solution meets the business need and verify it conforms to specifications
• Develop and execute tests for SAP support package updates on a timely basis including review of relevant notes applied in the system
• Provide functional expertise for projects/systems that integrate with SAP HCM, Payroll & Time Management modules
• Develop and deliver end-user training materials and sessions to ensure successful adoption of the new processes and systems
• Develop and deliver knowledge transfer sessions with other functional and technical team members
• Work in a collaborative team environment with multiple stakeholders including functional specialists, ABAP developers, business users, vendors, consultants
• Maintain and upgrade skills in relation to current and new technology
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in the field of Human Resources Management, IT, Business or in a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the implementation, configuration and support of SAP HCM related modules (Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, Payroll)
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in configuring schema rules, system configurations for Collective Agreements (unions), CATS, Time Recording, Time Evaluation and ESS-MSS/Fiori Apps
• Experience in testing SAP support packs and supporting year-end processes
• Experience in integrations with SAP modules and other third-party applications (Staff scheduling applications, Work management systems etc.)
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors modules including Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, Performance Development Plan and Employee Central would be an asset
• SAP Certification in HCM / Payroll / SuccessFactors Employee Central / SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills along with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to convey concepts / solutions to both technical and non-technical staff
• Strong understanding of technology and business processes with the ability to integrate functional and technical views
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment and maintain confidentiality of information

Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 85,155.00 – $ 113,541.00
