ABOUT THE JOB
We are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist – Manufacturing – to join our industrial team. If you have experience working in a metal manufacturing/fabrication or industrial environment, apply now!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Look for any gaps in our machines (Lathe, Saws, CNC, Screen machine, Waterjet etc.), operations, efficiency levels, people, etc.
- Ensure to stay on top of the growth
- Check for vulnerabilities and weaknesses, expose and take care of them
- Be consistent and follow up with managers to ensure their suggestions are completed (after they have been approved by the director)
- Look at the shop’s overall operations
- Evaluate the need for new machines, if the appropriate tooling is being utilized, improvement possibilities, whether the company is exercising the right processes, have the right people in place, is the shop running smoothly and efficiently, etc.
- Similar role as a consultant job but with deliverables

OUR REQUIREMENTS
- 15-20 years of manufacturing experience in the metal fabrication industry
- University degree in mechanical engineering – an asset
- Exposure to mechanical technical machines and products
- Hands on experience of working in shop
- Able to identify gaps in the process and operations
