Here in Canada, we’re proud to be one of the first five sales companies established outside Japan in 1974.Our business products, including Multifunction Printers (MFPs), Collaborative Displays, and a full line of Commercial Displays, allow businesses to build a smart & interactive office environment that encourages productivity, communication, and collaboration.Our consumer products, including steam ovens, microwave drawers, microwave ovens, air purifiers, and calculators, are designed to allow people to save time, make better use of their space and lead healthier lives.Job SummarySharp Electronics of Canada Ltd is looking for technically inclined individuals to work as Copier Technicians providing service and support for printing equipment.  This involves both hardware-related activities, integrating this equipment in computer networks, and monitoring and changing equipment settings remotely.Both experienced and aspiring technicians are encouraged to apply.  All applications will be considered. Successful candidates will receive product-specific training to complement their general understanding of technology (hardware and networking).Job Duties* Maintaining and repairing multifunctional printers.* Monitoring and updating equipment firmware and settings.* Traveling to customer locations using own vehicle.* Handling a small inventory of parts and maintenance items.* Completing minor administrative reports.Job Requirements* College education in electronics or relevant experience is preferred.* Familiarity with networking concepts (OSI/IETF model), services (DNS, SNMP, SMTP, etc.), and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, FTP, ETC).* Ability to use tools (screwdrivers, pliers, etc.) and electronic testing equipment (multimeters, EEPROM programmers, power quality analyzers).* Physical fitness (ability to handle parts and equipment up to 50 lbs.).* Must have excellent customer service skills.* Valid Ontario Driver’s License and own vehicle to be used for business travel.Attributes* Ability to learn and adapt.* Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.* Strong work ethic.* Good troubleshooting skills.* Sense of ownership and pride in own performance and its impact on the company’s success.* Detail-oriented and problem-solver.Accessibility and Diversity StatementSharp Electronics of Canada Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
