Manager, Credit and Leasing (Hybrid)

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Canada Ltd.

This is a Contract position in Mississauga, ON posted May 24, 2023.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Establish Lease documentation as per company requirements
• Source information from customer in order to provide required information to leasing company
• Set, maintain and distribute various lease reports
• Set, recommend and maintain new and existing policies
• Coaching and training of sales and administration employees
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints
• Maintain and administer lease returned equipment 
• Authorize payouts and residual payments
• Support team for audit all equipment transactions and release lease orders
• Provide leasing partners with clean funding package
• Track and resolve leasing deficiencies
• Obtain funding for all transactions assigned to KM lease partners
• Responsible for the overall granting and controlling of credit & credit investigations.
• Review customer financial statements, business plans and repayment plans relative to their sales, credit and accounts receivable needs to maximize business potential and minimize exposure
• Responsible for the overall finalization, development, maintenance, advancement and evaluation of corporate credit, and accounts receivable policies and procedures, including adherence to and compliance of JSOX initiatives
• Responsible for ensuring that all Credit activity is operated within the legal guidelines, rules & regulations governed by Canadian law
• Entrusted with a high level of confidentiality & financial details
• Communicate with Executive, Finance and Sales management to support new business initiatives and opportunities or develop existing business initiatives
• Facilitate reporting requirements pertaining to the overall Credit & Accounts Receivable results & functionality
• Communicate with key/strategic customers, Senior Sales, Corporate and Branch Management and Leasing Contacts in matters related to extension of credit and settlement of disputes and/or balances due Including customer visits to resolve and finalize complex problems in an effort to maximize business potential and minimize exposure
• Regularly visit and communicate to KMBS branches to ensure that corporate credit policy and procedures are administered and adhered to and to ensure corporate credit initiatives are met
• Motivate and Develop staff for individual effectiveness and group performance
• Sets monthly objectives for staff, complete monthly account reviews with Credit Analysts
• Act as a coach/role model to others in the organization, foster team work and sustainable personal growth
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years Management experience in Credit, Collection and Leasing 
• Post-graduation degree preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and advance level in Excel
• Bilingual in both French & English is an asset
• Excellent communications skills
• Proficient in establishing and developing trust and confidence with critical contacts, both internal and external
• Leadership, professionalism, conscientious, diplomatic and results oriented with a positive attitude
• Ability to work well within a high volume area to adhere to deadlines
• Resourceful and creative when making ongoing judgment calls regarding the assessment and extension of credit
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently in a stressful and demanding environment
• Ability to motivate staff and delegate and coordinate work assignments
