Fuel Truck Driver

Britannia Fleet Services

This is a Full-time position in Mississauga, ON posted September 4, 2018.

Primary Focus:

Ensure that customer equipment is checked and fueled to appropriate levels to allow for uninterrupted operations. Requires the ability to maneuver, park, and back up a single and tandem axel, manual transmission truck with air brakes. This person is expected to remain organized and diligent in completing paperwork during the process.


  1. Maintain a clean DZ drivers license
  2. Perform daily vehicle circle check
  3. Maintain accurate hours on logs and ensure compliance
  4. Delivers product or material to destination by identifying destination; selecting route; driving the fuel truck.
  5. Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies and procedures rules and regulations.
  6. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  7. Maintains safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  8. Keeps fuel truck operating by following inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs; validating adherence to road ability standards.
  9. Must be able to become CPPI certified and fuel terminal access
  10. Follow all terminal rules and regulations while on terminal property


Physical and Mental Effort:

1. Work outside in all climates

2. Lifting up to 40lbs.



High School Diploma

Ontario Class D License (straight truck) or Ontario Class A License (articulated trucks) with Z endorsement

2 – 3 years Driving Experience

Clean drivers abstract & CVOR record

Basic computer experience in Microsoft Office.

Must be able to maneuver trucks in a very tight yard.

Superior Customer Service Skills



Technical Competencies Required:

Time management skills

Practice and ensure that all required PPE’s are worn (i.e. safety vest and safety boots)

Must follow all safety regulations
