Procurement Manager – Distribution and Program Implementation

The role is responsible for program implementation and roll-out support for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) business and/or Aramark Managed business.  This includes assisting with GPO events/shows, vendor integration activities and compliance opportunities (coordination of client savings opportunities and initiatives, compliance strategies, promotional programs).  The position also actively maintains Distributor alignment on GPO and/or Aramark Managed business needs.

The Manager is responsible for maintaining a solid understanding of the GPO and Contracted Services landscape.  It is essential to the role that the position instill strong inter-departmental communication and coordination to maximize the implementation of business development activities.  The ultimate goal is to assist in optimizing the value to GPO members and/or Aramark managed operations and to ensure successful implemenation of intiatives that maximize enterprise value.


Key Responsibilities :-


Operations & Field Support – Resolving issues that arise or meeting business/operational needs (ie. sales opportunities, location openings, new product requirements, standards implementation, development of client facing materials).


Program Implementations & Compliance  – Ensure successful implementation of new programs and ensuring existing programs are effectively in place.  Tracking successful transition of purchases and assisting with resolution to hurdles impeding compliance.


Coordination with internal Stakeholders  – supporting field sales initiatives, client requests, marketing initiatives, menu/culinary support.  Aligning Procurement team strategies with stakeholder needs.


Supplier/Vendor Interaction and Coordination – regularly interact with Supplier partner representatives in coordinating initiatives, operational needs and requests.


Miscellaneous  – formulating and developing support materials (Newsletter Materials, Packaging Guides, Responsible Sourcing Guide, Coffee Guide, etc) and other duties.



  • University Degree or Related College Accreditation preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Category or Distribution/Logistics management
  • Experience in Coordination with the Sourcing/Procurement team, Finance and Program Management teams
  • Manager external stakeholder relationships with
    • Distributor Local/Regional Representatives
    • Manufacturer Representatives
